Hello, my name is Shawn Recker and welcome to my website. I currently am a graduate student at University of California Davis under the mentorship of Dr. Ken Joy. I am a member of the IDAV research group at the University. I received a B.S in Computer Science from Grove City College in May of 2011. I am currently working in multiple view reconstruction processes, but my other research areas include computer graphics, data visualization, and games.

My research career began at Grove City College, while working on fixed-point arithmetic operations in ray tracing. My work performed at Grove City was published in the journal of graphics, gpu, & game tools. I have also had the opportunity to work on the JHAVÉ project with Dr. Thomas Naps at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. I collaborated with Dr. Thomas Naps and Alejandro Carrasquilla to create a visualization of the Sutherland-Hodgman Clipping Algorithm. This visualization is a 2011 AlgoViz Award winner.
